Hooked Rugs

What is so special in hooked rugs and why does the problem attract so much attention to itself? As it is well known, hooked rugs and their hooking to walls and other surfaces is the craft of creating and braiding hooked rugs and carpets on canvas with the help of a continuous piece of yarn. The end-result of this kind of weaving is a tight and firm woven and highly durable product which looks like real Berber hooked rugs.

To attach your hooked rugs to the wall and to make this process easier, hooked rugs’ kits are produced. These kits include a hook, which can be made of different materials such as steel, wood, metal and others.

Hooked rugs kits have also stamped patterns, easy-to-follow instructions, and all the recycled wool cloth strips, which you need to complete your hooked rugs.
To make your hooked rugs look nice at your walls is not as difficult process as it may seem. The process requires a simple technique of using a hook to pull a strip of cloth up through burlap loop by loop.

In primitive hooked rugs you outline and fill in the picture or image that is already drawn on your burlap backing.
